Sala Vilma as this place is called appears to be an actual license massage parlor instead of simply a cheap motel or undercover apartment Dressed up to Look Like a MP.
The talent here is not usually the most lithe or youthful in San Jose, and tend more to the thirty-ish age range. Turnover is high and many appear to be housewives or single mothers who took a course on massage therapy and are waiting for a better job.
Sala Vilma is however, one of your best choices to get an actual massage in San Jose and none of the girls seem to have a problem with the standard happy ending delivery manually.
Recently they have added a full time receptionist who collects the $30 fee up front, and rooms have amusing signs that say “No Sexo”. Beware some guys have companied that the girls upcharge in the room for actual sex or won’t do anything beyond massage and happy ending. Generally speaking however, most of the girls are willing to whatever for no promise of an additional tip.
Of course this entire situation is very unlike the other venues in Costa Rica where prostitution is perfectly legal, and if you find it to be a hassle just choose one of the dozens of other MPs in town.
Beware of any other guides that place Sala Villa in another location because this business moved a few blocks back in 2004.
If you taste is for younger girls then pay a visit instead to Veronicas or Oasis, which are also on the Paseo Colon Map.

I was there yesterday. It was quite disappointing actually. To be honest, I was there 90% for the massage, I felt like I had a gorilla in my back. And although it was not terrible, it was not great either. But the girl not even took her shirt off. She just give me a barely average massage for about 35 minutes, and then jerked me off. that was that. Had I walked near by, say, to the Pirate, and I would have gotten for the same money about as good of a massage, and a lot more play.

I would have to agree it's really hit or miss, and more often miss at this place. It's one of the few places in San Jose where the girls do not always provide full service. Reports are usually more favorable from guys who live here and speak Spanish because many of the girls will go the extra mile if they think there is a long term possibility. But, for the most its a sub-par jack shack.
