New Pension and Bar Colitas is Cheap and Offers Nice Facilities

Colitas Bar in San Jose, Costa Rica
I first heard that the new bar in town was called “Colitas” I thought for sure somebody must be joking, or at least not speak English. Much too close to “colitis” for comfort.
When I went to check it out, there was my old friend J. C., former manager of the Molino Rojo, in charge and doing a top flight job.
There is a nice, big bar, brand spanking new, with plenty of room. There is a full kitchen there, spotlessly clean serving good “bocas” (appetizers) and full meals. And attached is the hotel, called the 3 'B's, which stand for 'bueno,' 'bonito,' and 'barato.' (good, pretty and a good bargain)
The hotel, like the bar, is brand new and offers premises for short term if you find a 'love connection' in the bar, or longer term if you want a clean place at a very good price. You won't break your budget at Colitas/3Bs. The only negative I saw was that the level of talent was, shall we say, 'erratic?'
The price is right, with smallish but new rooms going for $20 overnight. It's like a mini Del Rey for the budget monger. You don't have to leave the premises (assuming a couple of girls show up when you are in the mood).
It's easy to find. Take a taxi to Parque de la Merced and take the street (Calle 10) downhill/south a few short blocks and it's on your right, between Avenidas 8 and 10, though it's easier to spot the 3Bs sign than a street sign. The location shows as map point K on the Parque Central Map. Be sure to leave a comment on the Colitas Review on the Sexguide after checking it out.

Went in on a Saturday around 6pm. It was packed with ticos. I went to the bar and no one paid me much mind. I saw three working girls that didn't do anything for me. I was passing through after hitting up the pirate (love that place!!!) and seeing zero chicas. The cheap beer wasn't enough to make me stay at Colitas so I got a cab to go check out relax. I am slightly worried that tommrow (Sunday) will not be a good day to find some nice talent.
Thanks for the review. It's difficult to tell if this place will catch on, but for now the motel rooms are pretty nice and the food menu looks good. Hope more talent shows up.
